SUMMER PROGRAM  OUTDOOR TENNIS COURSES

May 29 to August 12, 2023

Location: Broad and Wychwood sites

Registration for tennis courses

For registration and registration forms, visit the page Registration

- Membership at Wychwood Tennis Club is required to register for a course.

- Course fees are not included in basic membership. See About the Club for membership fees.

- Fees are listed in the course descriptions.

The Junior program is based on the program sponsored by Tennis Québec/Récrétennis, which has been introduced in several Aylmer schools over the past years.

For additional information please contact us by EMAIL at info@tenniswychwood.com

Because there is a minimum and maximum number of participants for each course, registration is on a first come, first served basis. Please note that our student instructor ratio is very low-i.e. only 3 to 6 students per instructor, which allows us to have two instructors on the courts for as few as seven participants.

NOTE:

COURSE FEES ARE NOT INCLUDED IN BASIC MEMBERSHIP (See About the club for membership fees)

Balls are provided but you will need a racket and sneakers.

No special dress requirement-just suitable clothes for playing sports.

Private, semi-private and family lessons are also available on demand (for members only). You can make arrangements (scheduling and fees) with the instructor. See private lessons.

Please consult the following table of courses and activities offered for summer: in the evening, during the day and on weekends.

Depending on the number of registrations, children and teens will be organized in groups according to their age category and their level of play. Schedules will then be determined on this basis. Some groups may be reorganized during the season, with the result that your child’s schedule may change. These changes are rare and usually occur at the beginning of the season.

Courses are normally, three mornings per week. If the number of students registered is higher than expected, we will add groups on the remaining 2 mornings of the week. We will put the older children and teens in these courses because these courses will be longer- an hour and a half, as opposed to one hour

We need your cooperation to help us to limit changes to the schedule of matches in special circumstances and thus minimize the daily preparation time of the instructors, who volunteer their time to organize the junior ladder league.

You need to submit registrations and any changes in your availability at the very latest by 3:00PM Saturday of the week of matches. Send an email to junior@tenniswychwood.com to keep us informed of any changes in your availability. You can consult the available time slots at our site: http://www.tenniswychwood.com/echelle-junior/index.html. The document form for availability of participants” is on the site to help you keep us informed of your availability throughout the season.

The preparation of the schedule is done between Saturday evening and Monday afternoon.

When you are notified by e-mail that the schedule is available on the site: http://www.tenniswychwood.com/echelle-junior/index.html:

- Look for your token number and first name; we may schedule you for more than one match so that all available participants get to play.

- Let us know that you have received the schedule before Wednesday at 12:00PM

- If we haven’t received confirmation by noon Wednesday, we will have to put the player on the waiting list and replace him in his (previously) scheduled match, in order to avoid a situation where players don’t show up for their matches.

- If a player is placed on a waiting list either because he has not confirmed by the deadline, or he has not shown up for his match he will be considered unavailable until he re-establishes his availability with us.

Private lessons

If you are interested in private lessons, you can contact an instructor directly in order to schedule a lesson at an hourly fee.

Scheduling is not done through the club (I.e., there is no formal registration), but you must be a member to take private lessons on the club courts (because of insurance issues and the use of material).

Please note that during the summer, our instructors have a heavier teaching schedule and therefore their availability is reduced to give private lessons.
